Alex Poston is an entrepreneur and senior executive focusing on envisioning, launching. building and growing innovative healthcare technology companies. Having grown up in a healthcare family, Alex has spent more that 29 years understanding the healthcare sector, recognizing inefficiencies that could be solved by targeted technology platforms and building organizations and products to provide real and tangible business solutions. Recently Alex was Chief Information Officer at NavigatorMD, providing analytics and population health software solutions to the broker market, self-insured organizations and healthcare business sectors. Alex also serves as a business mentor for Jumpstart Foundry, Healthbox and the Entrepreneur
Center helping young entrepreneurs successfully launch their companies.

Prior to NavigatorMD, Alex was founder and CIO at Entrada and is recognized as a pioneer in voice recognition clinical documentation and cross vendor data exchange technology as well as technical process and software redesign. Entrada developed a unique end-to-end clinical documentation workflow that allowed physicians, utilizing voice, to remain productive during and after the implementation of EMR technologies. Before founding Entrada, Alex was Senior VP, Chief Information Officer at Total eMed (Spheris). Under his leadership, Total eMed was the first in its industry to utilize Internet delivery of recorded voice to remotely located transcriptionists achieving processes efficiencies and cost savings. Total eMed was acquired in a three-way merger/acquisition between Medicalogics, Medscape and Total eMed. Alex was interim CIO and spent 6 months merging the companies and technologies, building a team of more than 100 developers and technology experts in three states and launching the first web based EMR (Logician) in the U.S. Earlier in his career Alex joined IDX, launching their consultative division with offices in four cities across the US, building teams, technology and business models, resulting in a $13 million revenue shift in the first year. Prior, Alex co-founded MicroLink Consulting Group which was recognized as one of Middle Tennessee’s 50 fastest growing companies.
